FAQs
How long do I have to download my photos?
From the delivery date, you will have 60 calendar days to download your files before the link expires.
How do I deliver my slides to you?
We pick your slides up from you. We will also return them to you. You can mail the slides via Canada Post. However, if you mail them to us and want your slides returned, you’ll need to cover the postage.
I don’t want my slides/negatives/movies back, what should I do with them?
If you don’t want to retain your slides, negatives or other media, we recommend having them professionally shred and disposed of.
Is it actually important to clean my slides?
Honestly, yes! We make sure your slides are clean before scanning. This is key to achieving better image quality. Dirt, dust, and hairs can detract from the memories you wish to preserve. Taking the time to clean them minimizes the need for post-processing and streamlines the scanning process. A little effort goes a long way in helping you enjoy your memories at their best! That’s why we have included this for you in the cost. See here for more details.
Can you decide which photos to scan for me or edit my collection?
Unfortunately, we are not able to edit or select for you, as what is important to one family isn’t important to others. The slides, negatives and photos you submit to us will all be scanned. With this exception: if the slide is damaged or not properly exposed, we won’t scan it. If the image is visible we will try to remediate it.
I don’t have a way to view my slides before I give them to you, and I am not sure I want them all scanned what can I do?
Please contact us for some ideas and tips.
How long does the scanning process take?
It is dependent on the amount of slides, negatives, or other media. We are happy to provide you an estimate, and if you have deadline we will let you know if we are able to meet it. Message us for more information.
